AWN is Moving beginning January 2012! The Amarillo club has obtained a client that will be meeting every Friday in the Sunburst Room. Therefore, AWN is moving to the 31st floor main dining area. This is a permanent move. We will be in the same area, at the north end, where we have our Christmas lunchoen. The menu (soup & salad) and price remain the same.
April 27 - Business Women's Networking Meeting and Luncheon - A variety of Amarillo businesses owned and managed by women will be "in the house." Take advantage of this great opportunity to network with others and learn more about our growing community of business and professional women. Note: This is also our Membership Appreciation Luncheon so the meal is only $6.
April 30 - Membership Renewal - It is that time again! Renew your membership in the April and save $5 for Professional and $10 for Benefactor. We need to have everyone renewed by May 31 in order to be included in the printed directory. If you are a member, there are various opportunities for you to advertise with AWN at a very low price. Contact Blanca Frey if you would like to advertise.
May 2 - Annual Student Recognition Luncheon - Student mentees will be recognized for their participation in the mentoring program. Students mentees and counselors are guests of The Rotary Clubs of Amarillo and AWN. Cost to mentors, committee members, and others is $15 per person. May 15 - Annual Meeting - "How Professional Etiquette Gives You the Edge" - Be the one others respect and want to work for. Our guest speaker will be Anne Haralson Nail. Anne is an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Business Management Department at Amarillo College. She teaches courses in Human Relation, Supervision, Commication in Management, and many others. We will also recognize the scholarship winners and have the formal induction of new officers.
The event will be held at the Ambassador Hotel. Cost is $25 per person. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with complimentary wine. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. RSVP by Thursday May 10 to Loretta Williams at 374-5058 or loretta.williams@suddenlink.net.
June 14 - WOW (Women on the Way) Luncheon - The event is hosted by Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Women's Council, Amarillo Chapter of IAAP, Amarillo Women's Network and Texas Business Women of Amarillo. This also serves as a scholarship fundraiser for the hosting organizations. Kris David and Kim Castleman will be the guest speakers. RSVP by June 6th to 342-2009. Open seating is $25/person.
