• Each year AWN awards scholarships to deserving students from the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.  
• A “student” is not limited to a recent high school graduate.  
• A student may also be any woman who is entering college for the first time or perhaps returning to finish a degree or obtain an advanced degree.
• Scholarships are awarded annually for use the following school year (fall and spring semesters).  
• The number and amount of scholarships are based on available funds.
